Dear friends and faithful partners
We come to you with gratitude in our hearts for what God is doing, and for the way He continues to use this ministry — but also with an urgent need. This is an important moment for our team and the families we’re serving.
The mission center in the Bekaa Valley — a place where so much healing and growing has happened — is at risk of closing next year if we can’t cover the basic costs. We’ll share more about that in a moment. But first, we want to ask for your prayers.
This summer has been full. Both the Bekaa and Bourj Hammoud centres are running at capacity. Kids are gathering every day. Parents are finally getting a break. We’ve had more counselling sessions in the past few months than any summer before.
At the same time, the pressure is rising. More families are coming. Our staff is stretched. And the decisions we’re facing aren’t easy.
Fairouz, a Syrian woman, lives with her husband and two young children in a home so badly damaged that the roof recently collapsed — nearly crushing her children. By God’s mercy, they survived.
But tragedy struck again when Fairouz gave birth to her youngest son. Due to a medical mistake by trainees at a local hospital, she lost an ovary and suffered a torn artery that caused severe internal bleeding. As she lay in the ICU, her life slipping away, she began praying.
And then, in the middle of the night, Jesus appeared to her in a bright light, saying: “Do not be afraid. I am with you.”
This divine encounter marked the beginning of her healing. Despite ongoing depression and abuse from her husband — who beats her for going to church —Fairouz has clung to Jesus. She now attends regular therapy sessions with Melody and is growing in her faith. Her testimony is living proof of what happens when we don’t give up. She still lives in a violent home, and yet she keeps showing up. That kind of courage humbles us every time.
The Life Center is one of the only safe places she has.
This summer, our programs are running with energy and love at both the Life Center in Bourj Hammoud and the Bekaa Valley. Children gather for worship, games, meals, and the Word of God. Teenagers are finding purpose. Parents are finding relief. Entire families are experiencing transformation.
But the need continues to grow. With more displaced families fleeing Syria and arriving in Beirut and the Bekaa, we know we are only at the beginning of what God wants to do.
Taanayel Center Summer Kids’ Camp
Take a minute to watch this short video from our kids’ camp in the Bekaa Valley. The children played, danced, and learned Bible stories — all in a space where they feel safe and seen. These moments matter. In the middle of everything hard, they remind us why we stay.
A Night to Remember - The SOL Fundraising Dinner
We also want to share a moment of joy and celebration with you.
Just a week ago, we hosted a fundraising dinner for Spring of Life, our program that supports children through love, education, and spiritual growth. The evening was a huge success— filled with stories, laughter, and generous giving.
Thanks to the faithful hearts of those who attended and supported, we are one step closer to securing the future of these little ones.
Here’s what we’re praying for:
• For strength and spiritual protection for our team
• For peace across Lebanon and Syria
• For continued healing for women like Fairouz
• For the families arriving every week
• And for the future of the Bekaa Center — that we’d have what we need to stay open
We’ll need $6,000 to cover the next year — $6,000 for yearly rent by the end of this month, and $4,000/month for basic operations. We’re asking God to provide what’s needed. If you want to help, or know someone who might, you can reach out.
But most of all, thank you for praying. It means more than you know.
With love,
Said Dib
